June 18 & 19th, 2010
So my fellow Ground teamers, myself, and my Bestest couple, Sara & Kara were able to leave work @ a decent time on one the hottest Friday afternoons of the year. So we fought our way through traffic and GPS shenanigans and were all able to meet up in Hull, MA @ the Red Parrot for some Summer drafts, oysters and the biggest shrimp I've had all summer all atop an outside rooftop overlooking the water. We know I was in heaven. Oops, I forgot to mention Amy was doing circles in downtown Boston, so we all trooped in the cars and met her in Marina Bay. Tom Brady and Manny Rameriz both had places in this upscale boardwalk at some point in their careers. We sat outside and enjoyed Lobstah, Laughs and a beautiful sunset. We then ventured back to KSara's casa for a nightcap and some live music by Kara and her guitar. I was having one of my favorite deployments yet. 5am approached the minute I put my head on my pillow but I scurried off to work for a few hours. I again orchestrated plans for the ladies to meet in Downtown Boston at Boston BeerWorks. I gave everyone the address, dropped my car off at KSara's house and rode alone on the T to Boston BeerWorks in Kenmore Square right across from Fenway. I waited in the line walked inside to meet Amy. I asked a waiter to point me in the direction of the outside patio where Amy was. He looked at me like I was crazy. "There is no outside seating at this location but there is at our Canal St location." he stated. Well who knew there were TWO Boston BeerWorks and I gave everyone the directions to Canal St next to the Garden. So my friends and I were all at BBW just not the same location! Only ME, so I backtracked on the T and met them and had some watermelon and raspberry beers with the ladies before they left on their flights home. It's really great to have kept connections with good people in your life. So on my own I went into Fenway for the second time this week (this time for free) Thanks again to my favorite friend, James aka Gusto and met my bestest friends. What a way to end the week watching my favorite team clinch a Win against Manny and the Dodgers in the bottom of the ninth atop seats with a beautiful view. I love my life."Oh the Places Beth Goes"

Arlington, MA
Arlington, MA #672
June 15, 2010- June 19, 2010
My commute from Revere to Arlington was unbearable however, it was too late to move me so I had to endure the 1hr and 45min ride to go 13 miles each day. I was told that Revere is known for "high hair, long nailed white trash", and that the only good thing is Kelly's roast beef, which I got many pictures sitting still in bumper to bumper traffic each day. The Arlington Centre was by far on my top three. The ladies were older, tenured and so prepared with not a flaw this week, and boy did I need it after last week! I loved these ladies so much they among with all of my other friends kept drilling Boston into my relocating spots, but people you can't stop it from snowing can you????
Boston Birthday.
June 15, 2010
So I was super excited to go to Boston today, so excited that maybe I had a bit of a lead foot. Yup, you guessed it I got pulled over on my trip up. And yes, the Officer handed me a ticket on my Birthday. So I looked at him with puppy dog eyes and said; "Happy Birthday to me?" He said; "Oh no if I knew it was your birthday I wouldn't have issued the ticket, but I already wrote it out. So just appeal it and you'll have to pay 50$" I wanted to say Did you even look at my license I think my birth date is on it??? So my day started off under a black cloud but it ended on top of the Budweiser deck at Fenway. My super favorite friend from college (pictured above) has worked at Fenway for years and after paying for nosebleed 13$ tickets we were escorted up the private elevator to the private section with the most amazing view with my amazing friends. What more could I ask for, well the Celtics were also playing in the NBA Finals that night. And no I didn't know anyone that would fly me on a private jet to LA. So we did the best we could and found a random dive Mexican restaurant (one of the few places still letting Boston fans in, the Boston PD was on the prowl) and we enjoyed many Pinatas, Coronitas, A birthday shot of Patron, a battery operated birthday candle with a Birthday cake aka Churros and the night ended with a huge smile on my face from ear to ear, oh and an attractive guy riding us home on Rickshaw of course.

Best Birthday Cake EVER!
June 15, 2010
It's my BIRTHDAY and I will DRIVE if I want to. It just so happens my birthday falls on my travel day. I was telling someone the other week that last year I was on a Boat and this year I will be on a Plane. But if you read my prior post I will not have to be Up in The Air today, Thank God! When I woke up this morning I thought to myself I do not think ANY day will ever top my Surprise 30th Booze Cruise Birthday. I mean come on people, who can top a SUSHI CAKE made especially for me? That day will be forever remembered in my heart, I would say mind, but after midnight and many cocktails, it became blurry! Thank God for the pictures. I believe that events in our lives are shaped by the people we spend them with. So I will drive up to Boston today and spend the evening at Fenway park (Yes, I am going to a baseball game, Shocker!) with my Bestest friend since 3rd grade and some much loved company. What a perfect way to spend my day. So although last year was amazing, life is about living in the present and the future and we must make the best of TODAY! Believe me I will, Pictures to follow...... The BEST Birthday Cake EVER! If you are ever in CT visit:

Manhattan, Greenwich Village, and Queens
June 3rd & 4th, 2010
I felt depleted and completely and utterly mentally and physically drained to put it bluntly...and not even by Friday but by Thursday. So I decided to go into Manhattan to experience the city. Even though I live a quick train ride away I don't experience it as much as I should. So I received a text from my friend to meet him with directions from the subway. The text read : "Take the R train to 59th St. Connect on the N train to Canal St. station. From Canal St station take the 6th train to Bleeker St and that is where you need to be" Ummmm people, you know me and my sense of direction. Well I am proud to announce I made it without getting lost once!!! I am becoming an expert traveler! I had the most A-MMMMAAZZING Sushi. If you are ever in the Village go to: Tomoesushi.com. We then went to Pinkberry and to the coolest German bar with the biggest beers I have ever put my hands around. Yes, it involved two hands for the One-liter mug. The night was just what I needed! The following night I was beat, but I went to meet Amy in Forest Hills, Queens to unwind. We were told by her super funny coworker who came along, that we were about to cross one of the most dangerous intersections in the USA. Queens Blvd. Great way to start off my night. We were very careful and I was wearing my Cole Haan by Nike Air Pumps (Every woman should invest in these for the record; Colehaan.com) so it was a smooth skip over to the other side. We went for Asian Fusion, met Carson, our bartender, who enjoyed our stories of bluntness and venting, and were safely in bed early this night.
