Thank god my head is attached....

I just wish my car keys had been attached to my hand this morning. Today was my last day in the picturesque city of Santa Rosa. Of course, Beth being Beth was trying to do nine things at one time all before 6am. This included checking out of my beautiful (and I am not being sarcastic this time) hotel and loading up the car for my last day working with the Golden Girls. Everything was going smoothly until I slammed the trunk shut with my suitcase, purse, work bag, oh and don't forget the Car Keys in the trunk. Thank God, my blackberry is attached to my ear/hand though. I mean really like I said if my head wasn't attached I'd lose it. So after four hours, one tow truck, over a dozen Avis Customer Service calls, one locksmith, one 80$ car key as a souvenir and one very patient special friend to talk me through this, I was on my way to the Center. One of the Golden Girls, let's just call her Rose as a pseudonym, took me aside and said to me "You are so amazing at what you did for us this week. It's like this position was meant for you to do. You have so much patience to deal with all of us "old hags" who couldn't even use a mouse before you arrived"  Despite all the challenges, hearing those words come out of her mouth rewarded me in such a positive way. Not many people can say they love their job, but I do. Maybe I really am finding my place in the world.....
