Like I said every night I would leave work and enjoy a beautiful sunset on Clearwater Beach. I would find a place with live music after walking for over three hours and have a cocktail outside. I mean who can do that every night after work. I went to Crabby Bills, Palm Pavilion and Rock Away Grill, if you are ever in the area these are three must-gos. Let's just say I didn't want to go back to the CT beaches after this trip. The weather was amazing in Florida my entire trip. Sorry East Coasters I left the Humidity with you. Each night when I would walk on the white sand staring at the picturesque view of the sun setting on the ocean I would think why on earth don't I live on the beach? The serenity of being able to walk on the ocean is a feeling that is indescribable, I can only imagine having the opportunity to do this in December or February with NO SNOW....who knows where my life will take me, but this week has given me a lot of time alone to think about my future. This deployment has been one of my top five. Even though I was unable to meet up with any of my travel companions after Tuesday, I was in a place that made me really happy. I guess this is why you love Clearwater so much, Dad......
